Welcome to the KidProsper Data Deletion Policy. At KidProsper, we believe that because you own your family’s data, you must have absolute control over its lifecycle, including the right to delete it.

This policy explains the exact mechanics of how data is removed from the KidProsper Intelligence Engine (KIE) and our active servers when you request account or profile deletion.

1. How to Request Data Deletion

You can initiate the deletion of data at any time. We provide two frictionless methods:

  • In-App (Recommended): Navigate to the Parental Dashboard > Settings > Data & Privacy > Delete Profile/Account.

  • Email Request: Submit a written request from the email address associated with your account to privacy@kidprosper.com.

2. Deletion Verification

To protect your family's data from malicious or unauthorized removal (such as in shared device scenarios, family disagreements, or custody disputes), KidProsper may request reasonable verification of identity before processing deletion requests to ensure that unauthorized individuals cannot delete another family member's information.

3. Partial Deletion Flexibility

Parents are not limited to an all-or-nothing approach. Through your privacy settings, you may request the selective deletion of:

  • Individual child profiles (and all associated assessments, blueprints, and scores).

  • Specific AI chat histories or session logs.

  • Tracked activity and habit history.

  • Your entire Parent Account.

4. The 30-Day Restoration Period (Soft Delete)

We understand that accidental deletions happen. To protect your family's data portfolio from unintentional loss, KidProsper utilizes a 30-day "Soft Delete" mechanism managed by the KidProsper Compliance Engine (KCE).

When you trigger a deletion request:

  • Immediate Deactivation: The profile or account is immediately deactivated and rendered inaccessible from the user interface.

  • Processing Paused: The KidProsper Intelligence Engine (KIE) and KidProsper Coach immediately cease all processing of the associated data.

  • 30-Day Grace Period: The data is held in a secure, inactive state for thirty (30) days. During this window, you may contact support to cancel the deletion request and restore the profile.

5. Permanent Deletion (Hard Purge) & Confirmation

Upon the expiration of the 30-day grace period, KCE initiates an automated "Hard Purge," permanently and irrevocably destroying active profile data, psychometric responses, Growth Blueprints, KP Scores, activities, and AI chat histories.

  • Deletion Confirmation: Upon successful completion of a Hard Purge, KidProsper will provide an electronic confirmation (via email) indicating that the applicable data has been permanently deleted from active systems.

  • Irrecoverability: Once the Hard Purge is complete, this data cannot be recovered under any circumstances.

6. Disaster Recovery and Backups

To protect against catastrophic system failures or cyberattacks, KidProsper maintains encrypted disaster recovery backups.

  • Data that has undergone a Hard Purge may temporarily remain in these encrypted, offline backup archives.

  • These backups are automatically overwritten on a rolling 90-day schedule. We do not actively process, mine, or extract individual user data from these offline archives.

7. Legal & Compliance Retention Exceptions

Under global data protection laws, the "Right to be Forgotten" is not absolute. KidProsper reserves the right to delay or refuse deletion requests where retention is required by applicable law, court orders, fraud investigations, or regulatory obligations.

Even after a full account deletion, KidProsper will retain the following data (typically for up to 7 years, unless otherwise required):

  • Consent & Audit Logs: Managed by KCE, proving legal compliance and consent versions.

  • Billing and Financial Records: Transaction IDs and subscription histories for tax compliance.

  • Security & Moderation Logs: Technical logs related to Terms of Service violations or AI safety escalations.

8. KCE Internal Lifecycle Tracking

To demonstrate mature governance and compliance with global privacy standards, the KidProsper Compliance Engine (KCE) immutably tracks and logs every deletion workflow event, including:

  • Requested At

  • Verified At

  • Soft Deleted At

  • Restored At (if applicable)

  • Hard Purged At
